Jude Samman

Born in 2001 in Amman, Jordan, Jude Samman  is a Jordanian artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honors) degree from Queens University, Canada. Jude’s practice, mainly expressed through oil paintings, explores questions of what it means to be connected to the land and the meaning of home.

 

Through symbolism, she includes objects that she looks at with detachment and a new understanding that tells stories of her memories, and express the human need for belonging. Figures are included in her work as an ongoing study of the connection between bodies and the earth.
